Hello everyone, long time no see! This week in our Instructional Technology course we learned about digital storytelling. We were supposed to create a digital story ourselves so I and my friend Emircan Arslan made a video about a delicious and healthy pudding. Feel free to check out the video!
DESIGN
We had three options to choose from and we chose to prepare a procedural video. Since we are both interested in fitness we decided to show people how to make a protein pudding. The process wa very fun overall! I narrated the video and my friend Emircan did the recording. After we have completed our parts we came together and edited the video.
NARRATION
I used a tool called "Vocaroo" to record my voice. We have also used this program in our podcast assignment. (You can also go check the post about it out if you haven't!) In terms of sound quality it is unmatched. I have written a small script beforehand and narrated the video accordingly. The narration process was easy overall.
RECORDING
My friend Emircan did the recording. He told me he had some problems with the camera angle and lighting. But looking at the final product i can easily say that he has done a great job!
EDITING
We came together and did editing. We used CapCut and we merged the narration and the recording. The program is very simple to use and it is also free to use. Also editing was much easier than before since we have worked on different assignments using this program.
My Opinions
I had a lot of fun during the process. I also realized that this type of "How To..." videos can be very beneficial in learning since they are very short and include lots of information. What about you? What do you think about digital storytelling? Let me know!
See you until next time!!!
